A beautiful setting for a leisurely round of golf. With its strategically placed bunkers, intriguing elevations changes and sharp doglegs you need to be playing well to register a good score. Afterwards why not enjoy a drink in the bar and a game of snooker.
The Course
An easy-walking 18-hole course, Scarthingwell is set in tranquil rural surroundings and has become well established since its opening in 1990, providing a fair test for golfers of all abilities, as well as gaining a reputation for its friendly and informal atmosphere.
The Clubhouse
The well-appointed Clubhouse was opened in 1996 and incorporates our Reception Area and Golf Shop. There is the relaxed atmosphere of the Spikes Bar, which offers a friendly atmosphere in which members, guests and visitors can relax and socialise. There is easy access to a patio area, which overlooks the course.
Golf Academy
We offer a huge variety of sessions ranging from individual video lessons to complete Game Improvement packages. Our highly successful Academy Director Tony Howarth has over 25 years PGA experience and is here to improve every aspect of your golf game. We offer something for everyone from the complete beginner to the experienced golfer.
Dintingdale Restaurant
The licensed Restaurant is open to members of the public and has enjoyed an excellent reputation since it opened in 1996.
Visitors are welcome on a ‘pay and play’ basis. All visitors must abide by Course Rules and Dress Code and by the General Rules of Golf. All visitors are welcome to use the facilities in the Members Lounge before and after their round of golf.
Visiting Golf Societies
Visiting golf societies are especially welcome and we offer a wide variety of packages to suit all requirements.
Organisers go free if numbers reach over 20 players on the day. Each player will receive a green fees voucher for use on their next visit.
We now have a fleet of single seater buggies available for hire. The cost of these are £15.00 each per round, or a reduced special price of £50.00 for 4 buggies. Please contact the Golf Shop for further details or to reserve your buggies.
