Our challenging 9 hole/18 tee golf course is set in mature parkland with the first tee a few paces from the hotel's golf bag room. The seventh on this interesting course was until recently the longest Par 5 in the county and the ninth green, 'The Flower Bowl' is one of the finest short holes in Cornwall. Climatic conditions are so mild that the course plays exceptionally well all year round.
Orignally designed by legendary golfer and five times Open Winner, James Braid, in the 1920's, Budock Vean Hotel's challenging golf course is set in mature parkland and is playable throughout the year.
Budock Vean Golf Course was originally planned to be an 18 hole course, and we still have Braid's initial designs for this. But due to the sale of some of the land in the 1920s, the BV course ended up as a 9 hole/18 tee course, but is often cited as the best 9 hole course in Cornwall.
The memership year starts on the 1st April and the adult membership fee remains the same at £399. This may be paid in full or quarterly instalments by direct debit.
If you would like to take advantage of attractive discounts on food and drink in the hotel and golf club bar, we ask that a credit supplement of £125 is paid on joining and an account is set up for you at the hotel where you will enjoy a 25% discount on food and drink, and 10% off in the golf shop and spa.
Hotel and holiday home guests play for free when staying with us. Day rates available from £16 per person for 9 holes.
